Cng Wd My Passport For Mac

June 15th, 2015 by Tucker Mindrum WD My Passport for Mac Review WD has released a seventh generation of their popular My Passport line of external hard drives. The most notable upgrades with this line are an increase in maximum capacity (3TB), customization options, improved backup capabilities, and a line of models designed specifically for use with Mac OS. This review explores the Mac models, but the other new features are detailed in the new review. This line of drives is more or less just an adaptation of the My Passport Ultra that is optimized for Mac out of the box. The regular My Passport Ultra is compatible with Mac OS after reformatting, but users that know that they will be using a Mac might find this model to be easier. It comes with 256-bit AES encryption for added security, as well as compatibility with Apple Time Machine.

Users can run diagnostics and format the My Passport with WD Drive Utilities, but other than that it is a plug and play drive that can be used to transfer and store up to 3TB of data. The USB 3.0 port powers the device, so no additional power supply is needed.

WD My Passport for Mac carries a street price of $199.99, $99.99, and $69.99 for 3TB, 2TB, and 1TB, respectively. All models carry a 3-year warranty.

I'll keep this short. For the past many hours I have been trying to run the battle.net app from which case it ONLY opens up in Background Processes but not fully. I've found a few threads here that are close to my situation and have tried all of their fixes but none have worked. When I try to directly open WoW or any other game it will not even begin the opening process. This all started after some Battle.net update. UPDATE: This is exactly what happens. After attempting to open Battle.net app I get a window for starting it up that leads to a updating window.

While it's fine to use, it's not as convenient as other built-in backup tools like Time Machine (Mac) or File History (Windows 10). The WD My Passport is a solid option, especially with a.

Once update window fills it disapears and nothing else happens. Afterwards I will see 3 different processes in the Background Processes area of Task Manager all named slightly different parts of Battle.net App. They all however have (32 bit) on end while my pc is 64 bit! The ONLY other noticeable change is the Battle.net pin on the icon bar.

Also I am unable to play WoW games. 12:14 AMPosted by Let me guess, you get a white screen (the application) and it goes unresponsive? I close all the bnet processes in task manager and reboot the application. Sometimes it comes back however and I have to do the same thing. I am interested to know if you are on a 64 bit OS.

But whatever the OS, there seems a few things are iffy in the latest BNET update, and many people are having problems. Actually it just shows a small box for opening from which will disappear as it should then nothing happens. I';ve done everything and that's all that I get. Opening Task Manager will show the background processes from it but it shows no other signs of having even been opened. And now worse, one of the attempted solutions seems to have destroyed my external hard drive which holds my WoW download. So now that's already costing me roughly 60$ and more hours of download time.

I was already borderline leaving WoW 100% completely and never coming back but this is really rearing me up for a perm leave. (And I JUST got back after a 4month hiatus which normally leaves me refreshed and wanting to get into the game.) Also as for the bit, yes it is 64 bit. I had same issue, Battle.net performed an update and required application restart. After restart of Battle.net app it was unable to connect to the servers. It performed exactly as you said.

What I have discovered is that after the update for some reason my virus protection was now blocking the app from connecting. I am using AVG. Temporarily disabling it allowed me to connect just fine, and once connected I re-enabled my virus protection. If you're using AVG try disabling it, or heck, try disabling whatever virus protection you're using temporarily and see if that solves the problem. Well, I booted my PC this morning for a bit of WoW before I run to the hospital for dialysis.

The Battle.net app finally started after it seemed to have crashed on me (think it updated and closed). Now it's just trying to download an update for several games, yet every single one of them is waiting on something else to download? WHAT THE HELL IS IT WAITING ON!? I can't use the direct WoW64.exe, as all that does is pop up the bedamned Battle.net launcher.

This launcher business is getting out of hand! I was just fine launching each game seperately in the past, now I CAN'T LAUNCH ANYTHING BECAUSE OF THIS RETARDED LAUNCHER! UPDATE (1002 Pacific): Seems that within a minute of posting the above, the launcher decided to check indices or something, then bam. The game is playable.
